This is a quick layout I did using the items from the Hybrid kit. I added the Heidi Swapp Fuzzy rub-ons to the page for extra interest. I love the bright colors in these papers in the cherryArte Tropics collection! So much fun! But, the are not just for tropical themed layouts...you can do so much more with them!
Start with a Kraft colored cardstock
Trim a piece of the orange cherryArte patterned paper to 9X7 and attach to the left center of the page.
Trim the red stripes out of the striped cherryArte patterned paper. Attach along the bottom of the orange pp.
Double mat the photo with white and black cardstock.
Use a craft knife to cut one of the swirls out of the orange patterned paper, and slip the photo underneath the swirl. Adhere.
Use one of the Journaling pieces from the Sassafrass Lass Playtime Trims sheet. Stamp with the acrylic star stamp from the kit.
Attach coordinating ribbons.
Use black thread, and adhere the Heidi Swapp sillouhette word to the layout by stitching it down on two sides.
Add any other random stitching that you feel comfortable with.
Such a simple and easy layout, but I personally love the results!
